PLANM Exports Homegrown Korean Modular Housing to Australia.

PLANM, a homegrown eco-friendly modular specialist, is set to supply modular housing to Australia.

On the 2nd, PLANM announced that it signed a modular supply agreement with Jubilee Modular, a local Australian modular company, in Sydney. The modular construction method involves manufacturing the main structures of a building in an external factory, then transporting and assembling them on-site. This method offers significant advantages, including shorter construction periods and reduced waste generation.

The supply scale is 1,000 modules per year (accommodating 1,000 people), which will be used as worker accommodations at Australian mining sites. Due to the geographical characteristics of mining areas, traditional construction methods are challenging, and high local labor costs led Australian mining firms to seek overseas modular suppliers. PLANM will manufacture the modules at its Eumseong plant in North Chungcheong Province and deliver them to the Australian partner.

Dave Coulter, CEO of Jubilee Modular, who attended the signing ceremony, stated, "PLANM possesses a high level of technology and design. Beyond mining accommodations, we look forward to collaborating in various sectors such as schools, hospitals, and hotels in the future."

Lee Min-kyu, CEO of PLANM, remarked, "This agreement is the fruit of our long-standing efforts to expand overseas since the beginning of this year. With this partnership as a catalyst, we will push forward with our full-scale entry into global markets."
