The designation of ‘Global IP Star Company’ was made to strengthen the global competitiveness of promising SMEs in the Chungbuk region.
The Chungbuk Intellectual Property Center of the Cheongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the ‘Global IP Star Company Certificate Award Ceremony and Networking Meeting’ on the 9th.
This project is being carried out with support from Chungbuk Province and the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and it is a program that discovers promising SMEs with export records or expected exports and provides comprehensive intellectual property (IP) support for three years.
At the event, certificates were presented to newly designated companies, and a meeting was held for customized consulting by company, demand surveys, and hearing their difficulties. Support measures reflecting on-site feedback were also discussed.
The companies newly designated this year are Golden Hour, Neuraldy, Newtes, Desizon, Dubon, Bioplan, Beuniq, BTS, CDRI, Seeskin, Igeon, NBTS, FRD, Winplus, Jain Energy, KonaM, Taegang Enterprise, Turbowin, PLANM, Haechitech, Mom & Yong Bio Agricultural Corporation, and Solfood, for a total of 22 companies.
The Chungbuk Intellectual Property Center plans to nurture a total of 43 companies this year, including the newly selected firms, and will carry out 184 support projects in total, including 134 overseas rights protection support cases, 2 patent-design convergence cases, and 48 patent-design-brand development cases.
A center official said, “Intellectual property rights are a core asset that determines a company's competitiveness in the global market,” and added, “We will actively support the selected companies so that they can grow into export companies representing Chungbuk.”
The Chungbuk Intellectual Property Center recruits participating companies at the beginning of each year, and details about the project can be checked through the center.
