[Seoul = Newspim] Reporter Jeong Tae-sun — The '2025 Smart Construction, Safety & AI Expo' is being held at KINTEX in Ilsan from today (November 5th to 7th). Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and co-organized by LH and various construction-related public institutions, the expo aims to discover, exchange, and innovate smart construction technologies.
The event is drawing significant attention from the modular industry as it features the first public unveiling of a physical model based on the "Modular Housing Design Standardization Research," jointly developed by LH, PLANM, and Ajou University.
At the LH exhibition booth, as part of the "Government's Sept 7th Housing Supply Expansion Plan to Vitalize Modular Housing," PLANM and Ajou University participated in the entire process, including design and manufacturing, over a period of approximately one year.

This project is significant as it marks the first step toward establishing a foundation for the mass production of modular housing. The design incorporates the latest spatial development trends and advanced fire spread prevention technologies, making it applicable to high-rise modular buildings of up to 30 stories.
In particular, through technical collaboration with Samsung Electronics, the exhibit features integrated smart solutions, including kitchen appliances, washers, and IoT-enabled bedrooms. This offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience a seamless fusion of construction and technology.
Furthermore, PLANM showcased the versatility of modular spaces during the APEC Summit held in Gyeongju. The company manufactured and provided the modular administrative building for the mobile hospital operated by the National Medical Center, demonstrating its capability to create diverse functional environments through modular technology.
