KODIT and KOTRA to Support Innovative Startups at "Web Summit 2022," the World's Largest Tech Conference
The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) announced on the 28th that, in collaboration with KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), it will support 12 innovative startups participating in "Web Summit 2022," to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 1 to 4.
"Web Summit" is the world's largest tech conference, having attracted over 70,000 attendees last year, including 2,300 startups and 1,200 investors.
Beginning with a kick-off ceremony for the 12 selected companies on the 19th, KODIT and KOTRA will provide comprehensive support, including pre-IR (Investor Relations) training, special IR pitching sessions, and on-site operations. The two agencies will also co-operate the Korea Pavilion during the event.
The companies attending "Web Summit 2022" are elite "K-Startups" boasting innovative technologies in fields such as autonomous driving, AI, and biosignal measurement.
Four companies—Microsystem, XL8 AI, Wired Company, and GB Soft—advanced to the finals of "PITCH," an IR pitching competition reserved for only the top 105 participating startups.
Meanwhile, five companies, including PLANM, along with Neuriance, Dogu Space, Wired Company, and Promedius, have been selected for the "Startup Showcase" program.
In addition, Dallala Network, Movawheel, Viewmagine, and InhandPlus will showcase the prowess of K-Startups by engaging in global investment consultations and promoting their business models to international stakeholders.
"This initiative is designed to help domestic innovative startups promote their business models through global events and foster networking with international investors," said a KODIT official. "We will continue to exert our best efforts to help innovative Korean startups explore overseas markets and secure global investments."
