PLANM Co., Ltd. participated in the 25th Joint International Forum, held to discuss the future direction of school architecture in response to the era of climate crisis and demographic decline, engaging in active exchanges with domestic and international experts.
Under the theme "Toward Sustainable and Locally Rooted School Architecture in the Era of Climate and Demographic Crisis," the forum served as a platform to explore transformative directions for school architecture that encompass both sustainability and regional identity amidst the challenges of climate change and shrinking populations.
As a leading pioneer in the school modular construction sector representing South Korea, PLANM shared technical advancements and application cases of modular school buildings with experts and institutions from Japan and China. The company also engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the potential for joint collaboration based on a trilateral partnership between Korea, Japan, and China.
In particular, a strong consensus was reached on the scalability and sustainability of modular-based school facilities to address the rapidly changing educational environment, declining student populations, and the demand for carbon neutrality. Discussions were held to establish practical cooperation frameworks, including joint research, technical exchange, and project collaboration.
Leveraging this international forum as a stepping stone, PLANM plans to explore new possibilities in school modular architecture through its global network and lead the way in providing sustainable educational space models in the Asian school architecture market.
